Paduan Suara Anak Sumatra Utara didirikan pada tahun 2002 under di bawah pimpinan Edward Van Ness. Masa depan musik vokal berada di tangan generasi muda. Para anggotanya sebagian besar adalah para siswa Medan.

The North Sumatra Children's Choir was begun in 2002 under the leadership and overall artistic direction of Edward Van Ness. The future of vocal music is in the hands of the young generation, and the choir organizers and directors are committed to seeking out and supporting North Sumatra's best young singers through a regular schedule of rehearsals, voice training and performances. The program highlights the rich and varied cultural traditions of northern Sumatra, presented in unique arrangement produced by some of the regions most active musicians and dancers.
